About Leah Hicks:

Leah Hicks is the Assistant Director for Global Risk, Health and Safety in the UGA Office of Global Engagement. In this role, she works to assess and mitigate risks for programs and activities abroad and she supports the health, safety and well-being of UGA faculty, student and staff travelers.

Leah holds a master’s degree in public administration from Georgia College & State University and a bachelor’s degree in French from Tulane University. She spent her junior year abroad in Paris and taught English for one year at a high school in Saint-Brieuc, France. Prior to UGA, Leah served as a senior education abroad advisor and program manager at the University of Virginia.
