About Colleen Larson:

Colleen P. Larson is an Global Education Advisor who joined the UGA Office of Global Engagement team in 2004. She currently advises students to pursue a variety of international education opportunities in diverse areas of the world, coordinates the UGA Exchange Programs for outbound inbound international students, as well as study abroad risk management training program for UGA faculty and staff who lead programs abroad. A native of Illinois, Colleen has a B.S. in Enterprise Management from Northern Illinois University and a Master of International and Intercultural Management degree, with an emphasis in International Education, from the School for International Training in Brattleboro, VT. Colleen has been involved with international education activities since her undergraduate studies and first traveled overseas to Ghana for an international AIESEC internship. After serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer (Small Business Development) for over three years in the Peace Corps in Barahona, Dominican Republic and Quetzaltepeque, El Salvador , she returned to the US to begin a career in international education. Prior to UGA, Colleen was employed by CIEE: Council on International Educational Exchange and Central Connecticut State University.

About Abby Smith:

Abigail earned a B.S. in Psychology with an emphasis in Neuroscience from UGA in the summer of 2024 and is starting a M.A. for Clinical Mental Health Counseling in the fall of 2025. During her time at UGA, she participated in a UGA Faculty-Led MayMester program to Togo in West Africa, as well as a semester-long Exchange program at the National University of Singapore. Some of her other travels include Peru, Ecuador, Israel, Norway, Cambodia, and Indonesia. As an advisor, Abigail focuses on Independent Experiences for students who want to intern, work, volunteer or research abroad.
